VP15TF Grade (The Miracle PVD): A premium PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coated carbide grade. The Miracle Coating (TiAlN-based) offers extreme heat resistance and a low coefficient of friction. This prevents Built-Up Edge (BUE), which is common when finishing gummy materials like 304/316 Stainless Steel.
FM Chipbreaker (Chip Control Mastery): The FM designation is Mitsubishi’s premier finishing geometry. Even with a larger 0.8mm radius, the FM rake angle is sharpened to slice through material, ensuring that chips break cleanly at shallow depths of cut, protecting the surface finish and the machine operator.
0.8mm Edge Security Radius: The 08 (1/32") radius provides superior edge toughness compared to smaller radii. It allows for a higher feed rate during finishing passes and provides the necessary strength to handle light interrupted cuts or "skin" on forged parts.
