BEYOND MCKNR / MCKNL Turning Toolholders (75° Lead Angle)

The BEYOND MCKNR/MCKNL series is a high-rigidity external turning toolholder designed with the M-type clamping system (Clamp + Lock Pin). It supports CNMG inserts — insert code is determined by the last two digits of each holder model. The third letter K in the ISO code indicates a 75° lead angle, suitable for medium-depth turning, facing, and roughing applications on steel, stainless steel and cast iron.

ISO Code Interpretation

• 1st Letter (M): Clamp & Lock Pin clamping system
• 2nd Letter (C): Insert Shape = 80° diamond (for CNMG inserts)
• 3rd Letter (K): Cutting Edge Angle = 75°
• 4th Letter (N): Insert Relief Angle = 0° (Neutral)
• 5th Letter (R / L): Hand of Tool (Right / Left)
• Shank Digits: Height & Width of Shank (mm)
• Length Letter: Toolholder length (H=100, K=125, M=150, P=170, R=200)
• Last Digits: Insert cutting edge length → determines CNMG insert size

Compatible Inserts

All MCKNR/MCKNL toolholders use: CNMG + last two digits of toolholder model (Example: MCKNR2525M12 → CNMG12)
