OYYU is a CNCHome-Beyond house brand specializing in high-precision carbide inserts and tool holders for Swiss-type lathes, precision turning, and aluminum machining. Designed in our Switzerland engineering office and manufactured in our Zhuzhou facility, OYYU targets the gap between premium European brands (Sandvik, Walter, SECO) and the low-cost Chinese brands. The result is Swiss-design precision at 30-50% below European OEM price.

OYYU was originally developed for high-feed threading and grooving on Swiss-type lathes (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Tornos, Traub). Our 27 VER threading line covers TR (trapezoidal), ACME, and ISO metric profiles in the 6-10mm pitch range, with the OY880A grade optimized for steel and stainless at 80-150 m/min. For sub-spindle work on parts under 20mm diameter, OYYU 06 IR and 08 IR internal threading inserts are designed for chip control in the 0.5-1.5mm depth range.

OYYU SCGT and RCGT aluminum inserts are made of sub-micron grain carbide (0.6 µm) with a polished mirror finish (Ra < 0.05 µm) and sharp honed edges. This geometry prevents built-up edge formation on aluminum and delivers surface finish below 0.8 Ra on 6061-T6, 7075-T6, and cast aluminum. In head-to-head tests against Sandvik R245 and Iscar Do-Grip, OYYU matched tool life within 10% at 30-40% lower cost.

OY prefix is the OYYU brand mark. The next 3-4 digits (e.g. 880A, 515M, 2430, 838H) are the grade code: 8xx series is CVD-coated steel grade, 5xx is PVD-coated stainless, 2xx is uncoated aluminum, 8xxH is high-feed steel grade. Suffix letters indicate application: A = threading, M = milling, H = hardened steel. Example: OY880A = OYYU grade 880, optimized for threading on steel.
