VP15TF Grade (Mirage PVD Coating): The VP15TF is Mitsubishi’s most successful PVD grade. The "Mirage" coating utilizes a nano-layered structure that balances hardness with extreme toughness. It is specifically designed to stop Built-Up Edge (BUE) in gummy materials like 304/316 Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium, ensuring the edge stays sharp longer.

MA Chipbreaker (Precision Medium-Finish): The MA chipbreaker features a positive rake angle and a specialized chip pocket. For a finishing radius like the 0.4mm, this geometry is critical to reduce radial cutting forces, preventing vibration and chatter on slender workpieces or long-reach applications.

0.4mm Radius (Mirror Finishing): The "04" (1/64") radius is the choice for high-accuracy finishing. It allows for lower cutting depths while producing a superior Ra surface finish. It is the go-to radius when you need to hold tolerances within microns.

US735 (The Toughness Choice): Only switch to US735 if you are performing heavy interrupted cuts in stainless or have extremely unstable machine setups. For 90% of precision work, VP15TF is superior.
