Machinist Tip: Why R0.8 for Aluminum?
Strategic advice for the VBGT 332-AK:
On large-diameter parts, the 0.8mm radius provides much better tool life. However, if you experience vibration on thin-walled parts, ensure your feed rate is high enough to fully engage the chipbreaker.
To get the best finish with an 0.8mm radius, use a spindle speed at the higher end of the range. The H01 polished surface thrives on high Surface Feet per Minute (SFM).
