A: YN follows a traditional rhombic setup, while YW often denotes variations in relief angles or specific clamping features (such as YWMT). YNMG is the most common negative profiling choice for 4-edge economy.

Q: Can I use high feed rates with 25° inserts?

A: No. Due to the narrow included angle, the tip is more susceptible to thermal stress. Keep feeds conservative (0.05-0.20mm/rev) to maximize tip life.
