Nano-Texture Technology | High-Speed Cast Iron Master | Flat-Top Geometry
Next-Gen Grade & Structural Integrity
MC5015 Grade (Nano-Texture CVD): This is Mitsubishi’s premium K-Class grade. It features an ultra-fine grain Nano-Texture Technology coating that creates an incredibly slick and hard barrier. This specifically prevents the abrasive graphite flakes in cast iron from scouring the carbide substrate, allowing for much higher cutting speeds (Vc) compared to conventional CVD grades.
CCMW (Non-Chipbreaker) Design: The Flat-Top geometry is the secret to longevity in cast iron. Since cast iron chips naturally break into small fragments, a chipbreaker is unnecessary and actually weakens the edge. The CCMW design provides a solid block of carbide behind the cutting edge, absorbing the heat and impact of high-speed machining.
0.8mm Reinforced Radius: The 08 (1/32") radius is built for Production Speed. It offers a larger contact area that dissipates heat faster than a 0.4mm radius and provides the strength needed for higher feed rates in gray and ductile iron.
Metric vs. Imperial Comparison
| System | Model Designation | I.C. (Inscribed Circle) | Thickness | Radius (RE) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Metric | CCMW09T308 | 9.525 mm | 3.97 mm | 0.80 mm |
| Imperial | CCMW32.52 | 3/8" | 5/32" | 0.0315" (1/32") |
Recommended Cutting Parameters
*MC5015 thrives in stable environments. Dry cutting is preferred for Gray Iron to maximize the Nano-Texture benefits.
| Material Group | Speed (Vc) | Feed (fn) | Depth (Ap) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gray Cast Iron (Class 40) | 300 - 600 m/min | 0.15 - 0.35 mm/r | 0.50 - 3.00 mm |
| Ductile Iron (Grade 80-55-06) | 200 - 450 m/min | 0.12 - 0.30 mm/r | 0.50 - 2.50 mm |

MC5015 (Nano-CVD): The Surface Speed Leader. Use this for high-volume automated production in gray iron where cycle time is the #1 priority.
UC5115 (Standard CVD): The Versatility Leader. Switch to UC5115 for ductile iron or heavy interrupted cuts (like boltholes), as the Nano-texture coating is more optimized for wear than impact.

Technical FAQ & Buying Guide
Absolutely. Our CNC carbide inserts (including CNMG, WNMG, DNMG, and APMT series) are manufactured strictly adhering to international ISO/ANSI specifications. A CNMG 120408 from OYYU BEYOND will flawlessly fit any standard turning tool holder or indexable tool from major global brands like Sandvik Coromant, Kennametal, Iscar, Walter, or SECO, providing a highly cost-effective premium alternative without sacrificing tolerance or tool life.
We offer optimized CVD and PVD multi-layer coatings for different ISO material groups:
- For Carbon/Alloy Steel (ISO P): Choose our thick multi-layer CVD coated grades (e.g., Al2O3 + TiN). They provide exceptional crater wear resistance and thermal barriers during high-speed dry or wet roughing.
- For Stainless Steel (ISO M): Choose our nano-structured PVD coated grades with sharp, positive chipbreakers (like -TM or -MA). This combination prevents work hardening and effectively controls sticky chips.
The optimal cutting parameters vary depending on the workpiece hardness and operation type:
- For General Steel Turnings: Recommended cutting speed ($V_c$) ranges from 150 to 280 m/min, with a feed rate ($f$) of 0.15 to 0.45 mm/rev.
- For Stainless Steel Finishing: Recommended cutting speed ($V_c$) is 120 to 200 m/min, with a feed rate ($f$) of 0.10 to 0.25 mm/rev.Always adjust parameters based on early wear patterns: increase $V_c$ if built-up edge occurs, or reduce $V_c$ if severe flank wear is observed.
