UC5115 Grade (The K-Class Standard): Specifically engineered for Grey, Ductile, and Malleable Cast Iron. This CVD grade features a thick Alumina (Al2O3) layer that provides an industry-leading thermal barrier. It prevents heat from reaching the carbide substrate, allowing for continuous, high-speed turning in abrasive environments without the risk of plastic deformation.
CCMW Geometry (Non-Chipbreaker): Cast iron machining doesn't require chip management; it requires Edge Strength. The Flat-Top (CCMW) design offers the maximum possible carbide volume behind the cutting edge. This prevents the edge from chipping when encountering "hard spots" or sand inclusions common in raw castings.
0.8mm Heavy-Duty Radius: The 08 (1/32") radius is built for high feed rates. It provides a robust corner that dissipates heat more effectively than smaller radii, ensuring long tool life during heavy roughing and semi-finishing of large workpieces.
