Maximum Edge Security for Cast Iron
UC5115 Grade (The K-Class Legend): This grade is the industry benchmark for machining Grey and Ductile Cast Iron (K10–K20). The thick CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) coating features a highly specialized alumina layer that provides incredible wear resistance against the abrasive graphite particles found in cast iron.
CCMW Flat-Top Geometry: Unlike the CCMT series, the CCMW has no chipbreaker groove. This "Flat-Top" design is essential for cast iron because it provides a 100% supported cutting edge. Since cast iron produces short, brittle chips, the lack of a chipbreaker increases tool life by preventing crater wear on the rake face.
1.2mm Extra-Strong Radius: The 12 (3/64") corner radius is engineered for High-Feed Roughing. It offers the highest level of protection against edge chipping during interrupted cuts or when machining through casting sand and scale.
