MP9005 Grade (The Thermal Barrier): The MP9005 is Mitsubishi's premium PVD-coated grade for S-Class materials. When machining Inconel, Waspaloy, or Titanium, heat stays at the cutting edge. MP9005 uses a specialized Al-Ti-Cr-N coating that provides extreme hardness at high temperatures, preventing plastic deformation of the tool tip while maintaining a razor-sharp edge.
LS Chipbreaker (Low-Stress Finishing): The LS geometry is specifically tuned for finishing operations in gummy, high-strength alloys. It features a sharp rake angle to slice through the material cleanly, which is critical to avoid work-hardening the workpiece—a common failure in aerospace component manufacturing.
0.2mm (0.0078") Ultra-Precision Radius: The 02 radius is designed for finishing passes where tight tolerances and low radial force are mandatory. It is the ideal choice for thin-walled aerospace parts where vibration (chatter) must be eliminated.
