MC6025 Grade (The Impact Shield): The MC6025 is Mitsubishi's premier "all-rounder" for steel, but it truly shines in roughing. Utilizing Nano-Texture Technology, the CVD coating provides a dense, uniform layer of Al2O3 that resists crater wear while the specialized substrate prevents edge fracture during heavy interrupted cuts or when machining through rough forging skins.
RP Chipbreaker (Roughing-Positive Power): The RP geometry is designed for the most demanding applications. It features a reinforced cutting edge and a wide chip pocket that can handle massive chip volumes without clogging. If you are taking deep cuts or running high feed rates in carbon or alloy steels, the RP breaker ensures the insert remains stable under extreme pressure.
0.8mm (1/32") Edge Strength: The 08 radius is the perfect balance for roughing. It offers superior edge strength compared to 04 radii, allowing it to withstand the high radial forces associated with heavy depth-of-cut (Ap) passes.
