VP15TF Miracle Grade (The PVD Powerhouse): The VP15TF utilizes Mitsubishi’s proprietary PVD technology. Unlike CVD coatings which can be brittle, the Miracle PVD coating adheres to a micro-grain substrate that is exceptionally tough. It is designed to resist Built-up Edge (BUE) and notching, which are the primary failure modes when roughing Stainless Steel and High-Temp Alloys.
MA Chipbreaker (Roughing Strength): The MA geometry on this 12-radius platform provides a wider chip-breaking range. It is engineered to handle higher feed rates and deeper cuts (Ap) while ensuring that chips are broken into manageable "C" shapes, protecting the workpiece and the machine from "bird-nesting."
1.2mm (3/64") Reinforced Radius: The 1.2mm corner is the strongest in the CNMG1204 series. It distributes cutting forces over a larger area, significantly reducing the risk of catastrophic corner fracture during heavy roughing of scaled forgings or interrupted cuts.
