Engineered for High Metal Removal in Cast Iron
MC5015 Grade (The Abrasive Shield): Cast iron is highly abrasive due to its graphite structure. The MC5015 is a premium CVD-coated grade featuring a thick Alumina ($Al_2O_3$) layer. This nano-layered coating acts as a thermal shield and a wear barrier, allowing for high cutting speeds without the rapid flank wear that destroys standard inserts.
RK Chipbreaker (Roughing-K Class): The RK geometry is designed for "Process Security." It features a wide land and a robust cutting edge designed to absorb the impact of scale, crust, and interruptions. Unlike finishing breakers, the RK focus is on Edge Toughness, ensuring the insert doesn't chip when taking deep cuts on raw castings.
1.2mm (3/64") Heavy-Duty Radius: The large 12 radius is the secret to this tool's lifespan. It provides a massive heat sink at the corner and significantly increases the strength of the insert tip, making it ideal for high feed rates and heavy depths of cut.
