MC6025 Grade (Nano-Texture CVD): The MC6025 is Mitsubishi's benchmark grade for steel turning versatility. It utilizes a Nano-texture CVD coating that provides an incredibly tough Al2O3 layer. This prevents the cutting edge from thermal cracking during heavy roughing and offers the impact resistance necessary to survive interrupted cuts on large forged shafts or hexagonal bars.

RP Chipbreaker (Maximum Edge Support): The RP (Roughing-Positive) geometry is built for high-depth-of-cut (Ap) and high-feed (fn) scenarios. It features a significantly reinforced cutting edge land that resists the massive pressures of heavy chip loads. The "Positive" aspect of the breaker ensures that despite its strength, it still slices through the material with reduced horsepower requirements compared to traditional flat-top roughers.

1.2mm (3/64") Heavy-Duty Radius: The larger 12 radius is the secret to this insert's durability. It provides a massive heat sink at the tool tip and a much stronger corner than the 08 radius, making it nearly immune to corner chipping during heavy scale removal.
