UC5115 Grade (The Abrasive Armor): The UC5115 is Mitsubishi's premium CVD-coated grade for K-Class (Cast Iron). Featuring a thick Alumina ($Al_2O_3$) layer, it acts as a thermal shield, protecting the carbide substrate from the extreme friction heat of machining grey and nodular iron. It maintains edge sharpness even when cutting through the abrasive sand and scale found on raw casting surfaces.
GH Chipbreaker (Impact Strength): The GH geometry is designed for the heaviest roughing applications. It features a high-strength reinforced land (T-land) that prevents the cutting edge from chipping under heavy impact or interrupted cuts. This geometry handles large depths of cut and high feeds where standard "sharp" inserts would shatter.
1.2mm (3/64") Edge Radius: The 12-radius offers a perfect compromise between extreme edge strength and the ability to maintain manageable radial cutting forces on large workpieces.
