VP15TF Grade (Miracle PVD Technology): The VP15TF is Mitsubishi’s most famous universal grade. The **Miracle PVD coating** (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) provides an exceptional balance of wear resistance and toughness. Unlike CVD coatings, this PVD layer is thin and sharp, which prevents the "tearing" of gummy materials like 304 stainless steel while providing enough hardness to machine hardened alloy steels.
MV Chipbreaker (The Multi-Material Solution): The MV geometry is a medium-cut chipbreaker with an 11-degree positive rake. It is specifically designed to handle "voluminous" chips. In carbon steel, it breaks chips into tight C-shapes; in stainless steel, it slices through the material to minimize work hardening and heat generation.
0.8mm (1/32") Robust Edge: The 08 radius is the "productivity" radius. It provides a thicker cross-section at the tool tip, allowing for faster feed rates and providing higher resistance to chipping during interrupted cuts or rough surface skins.
