Description

DCGT070204L-F NX2525

Precision Ground Cermet | NX2525 Mirror Finish | F-Finishing Geometry

Superior Surface Engineering

NX2525 Grade (High-Tech Cermet): The NX2525 is a premium micro-grain Cermet. Unlike standard carbide, Cermet maintains a sharp edge at much higher temperatures and does not weld to the workpiece. This prevents the "tearing" of the metal surface, resulting in a **reflective, mirror-like finish** on carbon steels, alloy steels, and ductile irons.

F Chipbreaker (High-Precision Finisher): The F-geometry is a sharp, positive rake breaker designed specifically for light depths of cut. It excels at breaking fine, "needle-like" chips at high surface speeds, ensuring the chips do not scratch the freshly machined surface.

Precision Ground (G-Class): Every **DCGT** insert is precision ground on its periphery. This provides a level of indexing accuracy that molded (M-class) inserts cannot match, making it the primary choice for tight-tolerance CNC Swiss and Lathe operations.

Metric vs. Imperial Comparison

System Model Designation I.C. (Inscribed Circle) Thickness Radius (RE)
Metric DCGT070204L-F 6.35 mm 2.38 mm 0.40 mm
Imperial DCGT21.51L-F 1/4" 3/32" 0.0157"

Recommended Steel Finishing Parameters

*Cermet performs best at high speeds. If speed is too low, tool life may decrease due to micro-chipping.

Material Group Speed (Vc) Feed (fn) Depth (Ap)
Low Carbon Steel 200 - 450 m/min 0.05 - 0.15 mm/r 0.10 - 1.00 mm
Alloy Steel (Hardened) 150 - 300 m/min 0.04 - 0.12 mm/r 0.10 - 0.80 mm

Pro-Tip: Cermet NX2525 vs. Carbide VP15TF

NX2525 Cermet: Your specialist for high-speed finishing. Use it when the customer requires a "shiny" finish and the cut is continuous.

VP15TF Carbide: Your generalist for all-day use. Choose it for interrupted cuts, gummy stainless steel, or when your machine cannot reach high cermet speeds.

Technical FAQ & Buying Guide

How do I choose the correct specification?

When choosing CNC cutting tools, check the full model code, dimensions, grade and selected variant before ordering. Do not rely on the product image alone.

How can I check compatibility with my existing setup?

For carbide inserts, tool holders, drills and end mills, compare the mounting dimensions, connection type and manufacturer's specifications with your holder or machine. If you are unsure, share your existing part number and machining application with us before ordering.

What quantity and price unit am I ordering?

Check the product listing for the selling unit, pack quantity and included components. If it is unclear whether the price is per piece or per pack, or whether a tool body and inserts are sold separately, contact us before purchasing.

How should I choose cutting parameters?

Select cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut using the relevant manufacturer's recommendations for your tool model, workpiece material, machine conditions and coolant method. The same settings are not suitable for every product or application.

Are bulk discounts available?

Our automatic quantity discount is 6% off for 2–9 items and 12% off for 10 or more items, based on the total product quantity in the cart. Other offers may not combine with this discount; check the applicable offer conditions.

When will my order ship and arrive?

According to our shipping policy, orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days after confirmation. Delivery generally takes 5–20 business days, depending on your destination and shipping method. Customs clearance or unforeseen delays may affect delivery times. A tracking number is sent by email after shipment.
