US735 Grade (CVD Coated Toughness): The US735 is Mitsubishi’s premier grade for stainless steel turning. It features a specialized thick TiCN+Al2O3 coating that provides high heat resistance, while the substrate is optimized for interrupted cuts. It excels in preventing the built-up edge (BUE) and chipping commonly found when machining 300-series stainless steel.
DCMT Geometry (Anti-Vibration Design): The 55-degree diamond shape provides high versatility for both facing and longitudinal turning. As a positive rake insert, it peels material away with minimal force, which is critical for maintaining the surface integrity of heat-sensitive alloys.
0.2mm Nose Radius: The "02" radius is designed for finishing passes where accuracy is paramount. Because of the small radius, cutting resistance is shifted axially rather than radially, significantly reducing "chatter" in small boring bars and long, slender workpieces.
