Balanced Performance for Steel Alloys

UE6020 Grade (The Industry Standard): The UE6020 is Mitsubishi’s most popular CVD grade for steel turning. It features a specialized TiCN + Al2O3 + TiN multi-layer coating. This design protects the cutting edge from the high temperatures of high-speed turning while the internal substrate provides enough toughness to prevent chipping during light interrupted cuts.

DCMT Geometry (Positive Rake): The 55-degree diamond shape with a 7-degree relief angle is the universal choice for profiling. The positive rake reduces cutting forces, ensuring that heat is carried away by the chip, which protects the part from thermal distortion and improves surface quality.

0.4mm Precision Radius: The "04" (1/64") radius is engineered for precision. It minimizes radial cutting pressure—preventing vibration in small components—while remaining robust enough for semi-finishing passes in carbon steels like 1018 or 1045.
