Description

DCMT070204 US735

Stainless Specialist | Tough CVD Grade | 55° Diamond Geometry

The "Stainless Steel Workhorse"

US735 Grade (Impact-Resistant CVD): The US735 is Mitsubishi’s premier grade for austenitic and martensitic stainless steels. It features a thick, thermally stable TiCN+Al2O3 CVD coating. Unlike brittle finishing grades, US735 is optimized for shock resistance, making it the top choice for interrupted cuts or parts with pre-existing holes/keyways.

Positive DCMT Geometry: The 55-degree diamond shape with a 7° relief angle creates a sharp, positive cutting action. This "slices" through gummy materials like 304 and 316 stainless steel, preventing the built-up edge (BUE) that often leads to poor surface finish and sudden tool failure.

0.4mm Versatile Radius: The "04" (1/64") radius is the industry standard for general finishing. It provides a robust cutting edge that resists thermal cracking while being sharp enough to achieve high-precision Ra surface values.

Metric vs. Imperial Comparison

System Model Designation I.C. (Inscribed Circle) Thickness Radius (RE)
Metric DCMT070204 6.35 mm 2.38 mm 0.40 mm
Imperial DCMT21.51 1/4" 3/32" 0.0157" (1/64")

Expert Machining Parameters

*US735 is designed for toughness. Use these ranges for stable machining of tough alloys.

Workpiece Material Speed (Vc) Feed (fn) Depth (Ap)
Stainless Steel (304/316) 70 - 150 m/min 0.05 - 0.20 mm/r 0.20 - 1.50 mm
Duplex Stainless Steel 50 - 100 m/min 0.05 - 0.15 mm/r 0.20 - 1.20 mm

Pro-Tip: US735 vs. VP15TF

US735 (CVD): Optimized for heat resistance and high toughness. Choose this for general stainless turning and interrupted cuts where the tool takes a beating.

VP15TF (PVD): A sharper edge. Choose this for very light finishing passes, small components, or when machining exotic heat-resistant alloys (Inconel/Titanium) at lower speeds.

Technical FAQ & Buying Guide

How do I choose the correct specification?

When choosing CNC cutting tools, check the full model code, dimensions, grade and selected variant before ordering. Do not rely on the product image alone.

How can I check compatibility with my existing setup?

For carbide inserts, tool holders, drills and end mills, compare the mounting dimensions, connection type and manufacturer's specifications with your holder or machine. If you are unsure, share your existing part number and machining application with us before ordering.

What quantity and price unit am I ordering?

Check the product listing for the selling unit, pack quantity and included components. If it is unclear whether the price is per piece or per pack, or whether a tool body and inserts are sold separately, contact us before purchasing.

How should I choose cutting parameters?

Select cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut using the relevant manufacturer's recommendations for your tool model, workpiece material, machine conditions and coolant method. The same settings are not suitable for every product or application.

Are bulk discounts available?

Our automatic quantity discount is 6% off for 2–9 items and 12% off for 10 or more items, based on the total product quantity in the cart. Other offers may not combine with this discount; check the applicable offer conditions.

When will my order ship and arrive?

According to our shipping policy, orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days after confirmation. Delivery generally takes 5–20 business days, depending on your destination and shipping method. Customs clearance or unforeseen delays may affect delivery times. A tracking number is sent by email after shipment.
