VP15TF Grade (The Miracle PVD): Mitsubishi’s VP15TF is a premium PVD-coated micro-grain carbide. The proprietary "Miracle Coating" (Al-Ti-N) provides incredible adhesion and heat resistance. Unlike bulky CVD coatings, PVD allows the insert to maintain an ultra-sharp cutting edge, which is critical for reducing cutting forces and preventing "Built-Up Edge" (BUE) in gummy materials like stainless steel or low-carbon steel.
DCMT Geometry (Positive Rake): The 55-degree diamond profile is the world standard for precision profiling and internal boring. The 7-degree positive relief angle ensures clean shearing, which results in superior surface finishes and reduced vibration on slender components.
0.4mm Radius (Precision Precision): The "04" (1/64") nose radius is the ideal choice for finishing. It minimizes radial pressure, allowing for tight tolerances and excellent surface roughness ($Ra$) even on machines with lighter spindle rigidity.
