US735 Grade (CVD Coating Technology): The US735 is Mitsubishi’s most reliable grade for stainless steel turning. It utilizes a thick TiCN + Al2O3 CVD coating that provides an effective thermal barrier against the heat-prone nature of stainless alloys. Its high fracture toughness allows it to handle interrupted cuts and rough surface scales without edge failure.

DCMT Geometry (Positive Chip Control): The 55-degree diamond shape with a 7-degree relief angle ensures low cutting resistance. This geometry is designed to "shear" the material, reducing the work-hardening effect on the workpiece—a critical factor when machining materials like 304 and 316 stainless.

0.8mm Radius (High Edge Strength): The "08" radius is the robust choice. It provides a larger contact area which dissipates heat more effectively and allows for higher feed rates than 0.4mm inserts, making it ideal for semi-finishing passes.
