VP15TF Grade (Mirage PVD Coating): The VP15TF is Mitsubishi's premier PVD solution for difficult-to-cut materials. The "Mirage" coating is a nano-layered structure that remains stable under high heat while providing an ultra-smooth surface. This specifically prevents Built-Up Edge (BUE) on gummy materials like 304/316 Stainless Steel, ensuring the finished part remains within micron-level tolerances.
MA Chipbreaker (Precision Precision): The MA geometry is engineered to reduce radial cutting forces. In finishing operations, this is vital to prevent "pushing" the workpiece, which causes taper. It provides sharp, clean chip breaking even at very low depths of cut.
6.35mm Thickness (The "06" Stability): While most finishing inserts are 4.76mm thick, the DNMG1506 series uses a 6.35mm body. This extra mass absorbs cutting vibrations and dissipates heat much faster, protecting the sharp 0.4mm tip from thermal cracking and premature wear.
