The UC5115 grade is Mitsubishi’s flagship solution for cast iron. It features a thick Al2O3 (Alumina) layer which acts as a thermal barrier, preventing crater wear during high-speed dry cutting. Perfect for GCI (Grey Cast Iron) and NCI (Nodular Cast Iron).
Chipbreaker: MA
The MA chipbreaker is designed for medium cutting. Its robust edge preparation ensures high reliability against chipping while maintaining smooth chip evacuation, preventing chip nesting in CNC lathe operations.
