For internal CNC threading, chip evacuation is critical; this insert features the specialized -S type 3D molded chipbreaker to prevent chip nesting within the bore. Coated with VP15TF Miracle PVD, it provides superior longevity when threading stainless steel, carbon steel, and alloyed materials.

VP15TF Miracle Grade
The VP15TF grade is Mitsubishi's premier universal PVD solution. It combines a high-toughness micro-grain substrate with the Miracle (Al-Ti-N) coating. This provides industry-leading fracture toughness and anti-welding properties. It is specifically designed to stop built-up edge (BUE) when internal threading tough alloys or gummy stainless steels.
-S Type (3D) Chipbreaker
The -S molded chipbreaker utilizes 3D geometry to force chips into a tight spiral. In internal operations, this is essential to ensure chips are curled and flushed out by the boring bar's coolant, preventing the recutting of chips which ruins the surface finish and leads to sudden insert failure.
