UC5115 CVD Grade
The UC5115 grade is a specialized CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) coating optimized for K-class materials. It features a thick Al2O3 layer that acts as a thermal barrier, protecting the carbide substrate from the intense heat generated during cast iron turning. This coating significantly reduces crater wear and flank wear, even during high-velocity indexable turning.
Universal Geometry
As an S-Type (Square) insert with a 90° angle, it provides excellent edge strength. The 04 (0.4mm) radius is ideal for finishing to semi-finishing operations where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are the priority. The positive relief angle helps reduce cutting resistance, preventing vibration in lighter CNC turning setups.
