1. Should I use coolant with cermet inserts?
Cermet can be used dry or wet. For the best mirror finish and to prevent thermal cracking, high-pressure continuous coolant or MQL is recommended.
2. Can I use the 0.8mm radius for small internal boring?
The 0.8mm radius is strong, but ensure your boring bar clearance is sufficient. For very small bores, the 0.4mm or 0.2mm version may be preferred to avoid vibration.
