Mitsubishi Materials | High-Speed Steel Finishing Cermet (Left-Hand)
Precision Ground for Mirror Finishing
The Mitsubishi TPGX080204L NX2525 is an ultra-precision Left-Hand (L) Cermet turning insert. As a G-class tolerance ground insert, it provides significantly higher dimensional accuracy than standard pressed inserts. The NX2525 Cermet grade is specifically engineered to resist chemical wear and oxidation at high cutting speeds, making it the premier choice for precision CNC boring and finishing of carbon and alloy steels where a glossy, mirror surface finish is required.

NX2525 Cermet Performance
The NX2525 grade is a non-coated Cermet substrate. Because Cermet has a low affinity for metal-to-metal bonding, it effectively eliminates built-up edge (BUE) in steel. This long-tail precision insert is ideal for maintaining tight tolerances over long finishing passes, ensuring the dimensions stay consistent from the first part to the last.
Precision Ground Edge
As a "G" tolerance insert, the periphery is ground to sub-micron accuracy. In boring bar applications, this precision prevents "chatter" and ensures that the tool pressure is distributed evenly, resulting in a cleaner shear and better surface integrity.
