HTI10 Carbide Mastery

The HTI10 grade is an uncoated micro-grain carbide. While coatings are useful for heat resistance in steel, they often round the cutting edge. 💡 Technical Pro-Tips: Material Compatibility

  • HTI10 vs NX2525: HTI10 is for Non-Ferrous only. Using this on Steel will cause rapid edge wear. For Steel finishing, always choose NX2525 Cermet.
  • Chip Control: In gummy aluminum, use high-pressure coolant to "break" the chip. The TPGX geometry is excellent for chip evacuation in deep bores.
  • Feed Rate: Because of the 0.8mm radius, you can push the feed higher than a 0.4mm insert while still maintaining a high-quality surface finish.
