The Original Korloy WCKT030208-DA H01 is a premium Polished Carbide Insert specifically designed for High-Speed Milling of Aluminum and Non-Ferrous Metals. Featuring the H01 Uncoated Grade, this insert offers an incredibly sharp cutting edge and a mirror-polished rake face to minimize friction. The DA Chipbreaker is engineered with a high positive rake angle and large flutes to ensure rapid chip evacuation, preventing built-up edge (BUE) even at extreme spindle speeds.
Mirror Finish Capability: The H01 grade is diamond-ground and polished to a microscopic finish. This allows for nearly frictionless cutting, resulting in "out-of-the-box" mirror finishes on aluminum parts (6061, 7075) and copper alloys.

Machinist Tip: Maximizing Aluminum Milling Efficiency
Even with a polished H01 grade, high-pressure coolant (or MQL) is recommended to help evacuate chips and keep the temperature down during ultra-high-speed passes.
Don't be afraid of high RPMs. WCKT inserts are balanced for high-velocity rotation. Lower speeds can actually increase the risk of aluminum sticking to the edge.
