Pro Tip: Successful U-Drilling
Internal coolant is mandatory for WCMT inserts. High pressure is required to flush the compact chips out of the hole. Lack of pressure is the #1 cause of insert breakage in drilling.
WCMT 03 inserts are usually the peripheral (outer) inserts. Ensure your grade selection (PC5335) matches the higher surface speeds encountered on the outer diameter of the drill.
