The PVD Advantage for Difficult Materials
VP15TF Miracle Grade (PVD Coating): The VP15TF is Mitsubishi’s most versatile PVD-coated grade. Unlike thick CVD coatings, this "Miracle" PVD layer maintains an incredibly sharp edge while providing a high-lubricity surface. This is essential for preventing built-up edge (BUE) when machining gummy materials like 300-series Stainless Steel and Mild Steel.
MA Chipbreaker (Precision Medium-Finish): The MA geometry is designed to offer stable chip control at lower depths of cut. On this 0.4mm radius insert, it excels at shearing through the workpiece cleanly, reducing the heat transferred to the part and ensuring dimensional stability.
0.4mm (1/64") Precision Radius: The small corner radius is specifically chosen to reduce radial cutting forces. This prevents vibration and chatter on long, thin workpieces or low-rigidity machine setups, delivering a superior surface finish.
