The ISO 1832 T-shape family delivers a 60° included-angle cutting edge — the strongest geometry in turning, with the largest nose radius per IC size. Mitsubishi's 60° lineup covers two clearance variants:

  • TC (7° negative rake) — Strong cutting edge for roughing steel, stainless, and cast iron. Compatible with standard negative turning holders (MTJNR/L, PTFNR/L, etc.).
  • TP (11° positive rake) — Sharp edge, low cutting force, ideal for finishing, profiling, and slender shaft work. Less common rake than 7° but chosen for specific geometries (TPGH/TPGX for profiling, TPMH for boring).
